    Voice auditions
    Mugisha Enterprises is currently casting for the animated series Angora Napkin, which follows the adventures of an all girl bubblegum pop music group constantly in trouble with the macabre. They are seeking actors to fill these lead roles: Molly, the brainy one, Beatrice, the distracted straight talker. They are also seeking male and female voices with wide character range to play several roles per episode.     Film auditions
    Mugisha Enterprises is currently casting for a short film entitled The Lift, an offcentre dramatic love story. Auditions will be held on May 10. They are seeking actors to fill these lead roles: male mid 30s, male mid to late 40s. They also seek these supporting roles: a late teens male, a preteen girl and a late 20s female. Actors must be available during early August. Send resumes to gohanley@mugisha.com to set up audition time.

    Quilt guild meeting
    The Kindred Spirits Quilt Guild will meet on May 21 at 7 pm in the Holy Redeemer Hall, Pond Street, Charlottetown. New members are welcome (892-5684).

    Montague arts centre
    Dance artist Marie Lavergne joins the staff at Centre For Performing ARTS School in Montague offering a wide variety of basic and accelerated courses and workshops in dance this spring and summer. Jazz artist, musician, music educator, Neil Knudson, also joins the staff heading up the School of Music. The Centre’s annual fundraiser will be a lobster raffle and draw for Father’s Day. Students and supporters of the Centre will sell raffle tickets to help raise awareness and funds for the regional arts centre beginning this month. Prizes will include a draw for 50 lbs of lobster, 25 lbs of lobster, 15 lbs of lobster and 10 lbs of lobster. The final draw will be held at the Centre’s fourth annual Spring Pageant on June 7, Next Stop, WonderLand!     Directory arts, crafts, culture
    Island East Tourism Group, a non-profit regional tourist membership association, is planning to produce a directory of arts and crafts and culture that would incorporate the areas that comprise the Points East Coastal Drive (PECD). Artists and crafts persons interested in being included in the listings must have their works available for viewing in one of the following formats: in a retail location with established hours, in a home or studio location with established hours, or in a home or studio location, by appointment only.     Confed Centre Gallery Art Talk
    An Art Talk by Rick Hancox, filmmaker, will be held May 20 at 7 pm presented in partnership with IMAC. Family Sunday is May 18 from 2­4 pm. The focus of this month’s Family Sunday is the Wayne Boucher exhibit. Explore colour and more. For children ages 4 to 10, and their caregivers.     Confed Centre previews
    The Confederation Centre of the Arts in Charlottetown has announced that tickets for the previews of the Charlottetown Festival will once again be available at discounted prices. Half price previews for the 44th season of Anne of Green Gables—The Musical™ are June 12 and 13 at 7:30 pm on the Mainstage. Half price previews for British Invasion II America Strikes Back! are June 18 and 19 at 7:30 pm on the Mainstage. The Ballad of Stompin’ Tom has one preview performance at The Mack on July 3 at 7:30 pm. This is a licensed venue limited to patrons 19 years +. Stones in His Pockets has one preview performance in the Studio Theatre on July 15 at 7:30 pm.
