The Buzz is Prince Edward Island's arts & entertainment newspaper. It is published monthly (streetdate: last Thursday of every month). The Buzz is free (our revenue is derived from ad sales).

12,000–15,000 copies are printed each month (in September through June). It is distributed Island-wide: 70% Charlottetown and Queens County, 15% Prince County, 15% Kings County. Distribution increases to 22,000 for July and August.

Each issue contains an average of 48-64 pages (88 pp. in July and August). Content consists of listings of upcoming arts & entertainment events, profiles of interesting Island artists and entertainers, regular contributions on a variety of arts, entertainment and lifestyle topics, and community notices of all sorts. The Buzz also contains listings for City Cinema, the only full-time "arts cinema" in Atlantic Canada.

Our readers are men and women (from high school age through senior citizens) who are interested in 'what's going on' in PEI's lively arts & entertainment scene, as well as community events.

The Buzz is kept in readers' homes for the month as a reference source for arts & entertainment activities (month-long 'shelf-life').

The Buzz was first published in June of 1993. The on-line version has been available since January 1995. It is printed by Advocate Printing in Pictou, Nova Scotia who can be reached at <advocate@advocateprinting.ns.ca>.

The Buzz is a division of the privately owned company Off the Wall Inc. (Directors Peter Richards and Nancy Richards). The Managing Editor is Peter Richards.

A typical reader's reaction is "Yeah, the new Buzz!"
