Roller Derby Bout
July 15

Charlottetown's Moonshine Maidens face off against Saint John's Shipyard Sirens at 6 pm on July 15 at Cody Banks Arena, 58 Maple Avenue, Charlottetown. Doors open at 5:30 pm. Game begins at 6 pm. Admission at the door (12 & under are free). Concessions and merchandise for sale on site (cash only please).


Tri Lobster
July 15 & 16

Triathlon PEI presents Tri Lobster — a two–day triathlon event taking place July 15–16 at the Summerside Waterfront, Heather Moyse Drive. The event will consist of: a super sprint triathlon (375m swim, 10k bike, 2.5k run); a sprint triathlon (750m swim, 20k bike, 5k run); and standard distance triathlon (1500m swim, 40k bike, 10k run) as well as similar duathlon distances (run/bike/run) on Sunday, July 16. As well as an elite level U26 draft legal race on both July 15 and 16, there will also be a 3k charity fun run held on July 15 at 12 pm just prior to the Summerside Lobster Carnival parade. More information available at

The Ultimate Race is a full day event taking place on July 22 where teams of two race around the city and surrounding areas competing in various mental and physical challenges. Registration includes your full day of challenges, lunch and appies at the after party. 3rd Annual Big Dog Convenience/Irving Night Dash
August 11

ParaSport and Recreation PEI present the 3rd Annual Big Dog Convenience Night Dash featuring a 5K walk or run and a 10K run — in the dark. Participants are encouraged to wear bright colours and dress up in glow–in–the–dark apparel. There will be prizes for the "Most Illuminated" runner. All proceeds go to support ParaSport and Recreation PEI programs and services. Registration includes race bib, BBQ, non–alcoholic or alcoholic beverage (19+) and door prizes. Info/register:
