Island Folk Festival back for its 4th year
Cloggeroo is back for its 4th annual Island Folk Festival. Held every summer in the beautiful Eastern PEI town of Georgetown, Cloggeroo happens this year on the weekend of August 11–13. Musical acts include Elliott Brood, The Devin Cuddy Band, Alex Cuba, Old Man Leudecke, H’Sao, The Modern Grass, Little Barry Cooke and the Blue Devils, Keith Hallett, Chronos, Amanda Jackson Band, Richard Wood and Gordon Belsher, Gadelle, the Rubber Boot Band, Max Keenlyside, the Beck Sisters, and more.
For the first time ever, Cloggeroo’s main stage on the Georgetown waterfront will now be sheltered with a big top festival tent, keeping the music alive rain or shine while still maintaining the view of the Brudenell river.
The annual festival also features an annual free concert on the beach, food vendors, a full bar, festival camping, a fireworks show, children’s activities, free shuttles around town, and much more.
“It’s the kind of scene where everyone fits in,” says organizer Danielle Rochon. “There’s always plenty of space for folks to set up lawn chairs for the day or to let their kids run and play.”
The stage schedule kicks off at 7 pm Friday evening, and runs until 1:00 am both Friday and Saturday nights. Saturday afternoon features a full lineup of daytime music, and Sunday’s lineup is being billed as “an Island Afternoon” with over five hours of PEI musical acts.
Tickets start at just $20, with full weekend passes available at $85. Tickets can be purchased now at Upstreet Craft Brewing in Charlottetown, Maritime Madness in Montague, or online at cloggeroo.com.
