Dan Currie and What Happened Tomorrow

Dan Currie & What Happened Tomorrow will launch their new 11 song album Crown Of Stars at The Guild on May 31. The project was recorded last fall with Adam Gallant in Charlottetown. Originally 20 songs were cut for the album with eleven making the final cut “We’ll probably use some of those other tracks on line to help promote the band and our music down the road, says group spokesman Dan Currie.

The band has been together for about 18 months now. Members of the band include Craig MacPherson on bass/vocals, Mike MacDougall on drums/vocals and Dan Currie on guitars and lead vocals. The three are former members of Eyes For Telescopes. The final track on the album “Rosarium” features a guest lead vocal from another former member of Eyes, Belinda Doyle.

Craig and Dan were part of the rock quartet, Double Ought Buckshot. “There’s a lot of different music styles under the bridge at this point but I think it’s safe to say, we are doing the kind of music now, we have wanted to do for a while now,” explains Dan when asked about the different musical journeys he and his band mates have taken over the years.

Nudie & The Turks will also perform at the CD Release at the Guild on May 31. Doors will open at 9 pm. Music will run from 10 pm to midnight. For additional info, contact dancurriemusic@hotmail.com or visit the band at www.myspace.com/dancurriemusic. The album will be on sale at Back Alley Discs in Charlottetown and on line at www.sandbarmusic.com. The album will be available world wide through the Sandbar Music/ IODA digital distribution agreement starting in late June ‘08.
