Elvis Presley Aloha from Hawaii, performed by Thane Dunn and the Cadillac Kings, is donating a portion of proceeds for each Maritime show to the IWK Health Centre Foundation.
2008 marks the 35th Anniversary of Elvis Presley’s Aloha from Hawaii Satellite Telecast. This historic event was viewed by millions worldwide. To commemorate this show, Elvis tribute artist Thane Dunn is recreating Aloha from Hawaii at the Harbourfront Theatre in Summerside June 6. Thane Dunn says that every detail for the new show has been meticulously arranged, even the replica Aloha Eagle jumpsuit, designed by Bill Belew, the same man who made the original. He promises that from the first note of 2001 Space Odyssey to the final chord of Can’t Help Falling in Love, Elvis is alive on stage.
Elvis was well known for his charity work with children and Thane continues this tradition by donating to local charities. Thane would like to thank all of his fans for coming to the shows that allow him to live his dream. It is important to Thane that he gives back to the community. The IWK was chosen as the local charity because of the work it does for Maritime children, women and their families. Special opening act is R. Vance and his tribute to Roy Orbison. www.thanedunn.net
