  • Bootlegger’s Ball

The third annual Bootleggers Ball is set for May 31 at the Delta Prince Edward Hotel ballroom in Charlottetown.

For the past 2 decades Dave Hayden of Rustico Harbour, Prince Edward Island, has hosted “T’s t nite Jam Sessions.” This was the inspiration behind the first Bootleggers Ball. Angela Bird the show’s creator and producer, was overwhelmed at the caliber of talent playing down at Dave’s on any given Tueday night. “I had just come home from producing a show with some notable talent, and went down to Dave’s for my regular Tueday night fix (known as T’s t nite jams). It struck me that the musicianship I was listening to, was as good or better, than the concert we had just charged people sixty dollars to attend in Halifax. It was that night that the conception of the Bootleggers Ball came into being.”

Bootleggers Ball 2008 presents; A Soulful evening in the Round featuring Richard Wood; Dave Hayden’s T’s t nite jam regulars—Dave Wigmore (musical director) Leon Gallant, Leonard McEwen, Mindy Walker, Mike Hensman, Laura Oakie, Amanada MacLeod, Serge Belov, Rob Oakie, Brad Fremlin, Nick Gauthier, Chris Gauthier. Special guests are Tim Chaisson, Tian Wigmore, Meagan Blanchard, JJ Chaisson, Ross MacDonald, Janel Joudrey, Todd McLean, Savannah Belsher, John Connolly, Brent Chaisson, Remi Arsenault.
