Friends of the Farm Spring Lecture

May 23

Kevin Garvey will present a public lecture, "The History of Apple Farming on P.E.I. and the Art of Growing Apples," on Wednesday, May 23, 7 pm, at the Farm Centre, 420 University Ave.

This presentation is hosted by the Friends of the Farm (PEI). There will be no charge for the presentation and everyone is welcome to attend.

Walk for Muscular Dystrophy

June 16

PE Island Walk for Muscular Dystrophy will take place June 16 from 2–4 pm at Victoria Park in Charlottetown with registration beginning at 1 pm.

This year's island Walk for MD is in memory of Art Pringle and Helen Campbell. Jamie Stride and his falcon, Sonic will be putting on a demonstration.

Walk for Diabetes

June 24

The Canadian Diabetes Association’s annual Flame of Hope Walk for Diabetes will be held on June 24 starting from Holland College Charlottetown Centre Cafeteria, 305 Kent St. Registration and Silent Auction begins at 1 pm with walk at 2 pm.

The Walk is a 5 km noncompetitive walk to raise awareness and funds to support the work of the Assoc in PEI which includes a camp for children 7–14
