Sir Andrew Macphail Homestead in Orwell is celebrating the 150th anniversary of the birth of Andrew Macphail, at Orwell, on November 24, 1864. Events continue into the fall.
Old Fashioned Ceilidhs, hosted by Garnet Buell and the Singing Islanders along with guests, will be held on September 5 at 7 pm.

PEI Brewing Company
The PEI Beer Festival is back on September 5–6. Organized by the PEI Brewing Company, in partnership with the Prince Edward Island Liquor Commission, the event presents a weekend of beer tasting, food pairings and entertainment.

The Acadian Harvest Festival takes place September 3 to 30 in Rustico. An exhibition featuring contemporary and traditional Acadian textiles, crafts, music and artwork is on view daily.
