Avonlea Village Music

Avonlea Village has a lineup of local and traditional music Monday–Frida in August. The Avonlea Showband, with Michael Pendergast, Leon Gallant, Remi Arsenault, and Brendan Peters, present 3 shows a day, at 11:00 am, 12:30 pm, and 2:00 pm. Sat see Island musician Gordon Belsher with either Cynthia MacLeod or Richard Wood fiddling at 2 pm. Sun will feature Sunday Best, with Michael Pendergast, Shane Pendergast, Andy Doucette, and Molly Pendergast dancing. www.avonlea.ca

Hillsborough River Gospel Brunch

Hillsborough River Gospel Brunch at the Trailside Café welcomes of all ages to the Brunch on Main St. in Mount Stewart. Brunch, hosted by The Emeralds—Hannah Rose, Natalie Sullivan and Melissa MacKenzie. Between sets, the house turntable will spin LPs hand-picked from owners Pat & Meghann Deighan’s vinyl collection. Old Triangle Sessions
