The Cat Action Team of Prince Edward Island has received a grant of $23,040 from PetSmart Charities of Canada®. According to Dr. Patricia Srebrnik, who wrote the grant application, the funds will be used to neuter approximately 250 free-ranging cats in the areas of Tignish and Alberton. CAT is a nonprofit, all-volunteer charity that works to reduce the population and suffering of free-ranging feral, stray and barn cats throughout the Island.
