Bridgette BlanchardEvents take place through the winter at The Eagle Nest Artists’ Landing in North Rustico. Eagle Nest is a house-style concert venue for local and emerging artists. The cozy setting can accommodate up to 50 people.

Owners of the venue say, “We are unique…in that we are sometimes able to offer performers an honorarium based on sponsored support. Such support is usually thanks to our vendors, suppliers and affiliates. We also offer a free practice venue in which performers have access to our sound system, media centre and stage area.

“Our venue is host to music lessons, community fundraisers, gatherings, live music events, Ceilidhs and other events. Buskers are always welcome when no other scheduled events are in play.”

Weekly events include Sunday Games Night; Monday Vinyl Night; Tuesday Cribbage Night; Wednesday Draft Night; Thursday Kitchen Ceilidh; Friday Live in the Nest; Saturday Open Mic Special with prizes.

The Nest offers free practice space with access to sound and media equipment along with access to in-house instruments. This is available anytime during regular open hours outside of special events, to anyone 19+.

Busking is welcome during regular hours inside the Nest, outside of special events and open mic time. There are no fees and artists keep all their tips. Make arrangements with the bartender prior to performing.

The Eagle Nest is located at 7208 Rustico Road, across from By the Bay Restaurant in North Rustico. For information contact 902-388-6532 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
