Copper Bottom Brewing
With reports of there being a shortage of food items at The Southern Kings and Queens Food Bank, Destiny Best, local volunteer, approached Copper Bottom Brewing with the idea to host the non-profit’s first fundraising event of 2018.
“February is always a tough month at food banks,” says Best. “I was inspired by the Food & Warmth show in Charlottetown (created by Todd MacLean) and wanted to do something like that in Montague.”
Copper Bottom Brewing (567 Main Street, Montague) will host a Share the Love show on February 24 with music starting at 7 pm. The event will also feature a silent auction, 50/50 draw, musical entertainment and food.
Several well-known Island musicians have agreed to play, including: Amanda Jackson Band, Johnny Ross, Katie McGarry, Anya Smith, and Liam Corcoran. Doors open at 6 pm. Admission is a suggested donation of $10 and a non-perishable food item with all proceeds going directly to the Montague Food Bank.
