Murphy Hospitality Group is partnering with the Canadian Mental Health Association – PEI Division on April 28 for the second annual Self <3 Saturday. This event will feature a variety of activities throughout the day with all proceeds going to support CMHA youth programs on PEI such as suicide prevention, addiction services, and self-help groups. Murphy Hospitality Group is encouraging Islanders to come out and support a cause that is important for maintaining and improving the mental health of our community.
The day will be action packed starting at 10 am with Moksha Yoga Charlottetown guiding participants through postures and breathing exercises to open, strengthen and detoxify the entire body. Next up at 1 pm, Upstreet Craft Brewing will be the starting point for the Beer Fun Run Presented by Kinetic Fitness. Runners will weave through the Confederation Trail, with a stop at bar1911 to enjoy a beer from one of the Island breweries sponsoring the event — Upstreet Craft Crewing, PEI Brewing Company, Moth Lane Brewing or Copper Bottom Brewing Company. The run will end at the PEI Brewing Company with one of their handcrafted ales. Later that evening the breweries, as well as the team from CMHA- PEI Division, will face off in a heated Lip Sync Battle. The battle will be followed by an Island kitchen party with a variety of local musicians playing everyone's favourite hits until midnight. Tickets will be sold separately for each event.
