February 15 & 16
The Guild

Now in its third season, Raised on Television (RoTV3) is taking a look at Canadian television with its latest production coming up in February.

“The audience seems to really enjoy Raised on Television—there’s something about seeing familiar shows brought to life on stage,” Grace Kimpinski, producer, said when asked about bringing the show back for another season, “and there’s so much to work with that it’s easy to keep RoTV fresh.”Once again the directors were all given certain rules to follow such as set pieces, scene length, and most importantly strict faithfulness to the dialogue. Beyond that they have complete freedom to interpret or remix the chosen shows in any way they wish. Adam Gauthier, Richard Haines, Dana Doucette, and Gordon Cobb have each taken on the task of casting and directing two Canadian shows each and will be working with Mariève MacGregor to ready them for the stage.

The all-Canadian focus is something that everyone is excited about. “We see so many American shows, on TV, Netflix, elsewhere… it’s easy for us to forget just how much fantastic television has come, and continues to come, from Canada,” Kimpinski said.

Raised on Television 3 will be performed February 15 and 16 at The Guild. Doors open at 7:30 pm with the show starting at 8 pm. Tickets can be purchased at The Guild box office (online or at the door). For information, contact Grace Kimpinski at This email address is being protected from spambots.
