The Gut by Patricia MooreArtist Patricia Moore’s newest works, exploring the Prince Edward Island landscape and the connection between land and sea, are part of the OH CANADA summer exhibition honoring the country’s 150th anniversary which opens June 16 and runs until July 16 at the Gallery on the Bay in Hamilton, ON.

Currently living in Burlington, ON. Moore spends several months of the year in PEI where she maintains a home and studio. She says she chose PEI for her contribution to OH CANADA project because “the Island is always on my mind. My painting The Gut shows a view I see every day from my Island home. I watch the fishers in the early morning head out to sea, and return through the gut mid-afternoon. The boats are tethered, at rest, then out again in many shades of weather.”
