Travelling art exhibition comes to Spinnaker’s Landing in Summerside

Spinnaker’s Landing on the Summerside waterfront is the host for Humanorium, a one-of-a-kind contemporary art extravaganza coming to Summerside from July 20 to 25.

Humanorium is a carnival like no other that gives professional artists and audiences a novel contemporary art experience in a unique setting. Inspired by the tradition of the 19th and 20th century country fair, Humanorium is a travelling outdoor gathering that brings together the work of a dozen visual and multidisciplinary artists, posing vital questions on what it means to be human today. It will be open to the public 1 to 10 pm over the five days it is in Summerside.

Humanorium is one of the 200 exceptional projects funded through the Canada Council for the Arts’ New Chapter program. With this $35M investment, the Council supports the creation and sharing of the arts in communities across Canada.

Humanorium is an accessible experience that brings people together and builds community—an inclusive project that gives diverse audiences of all ages the opportunity to socialize, meet, share a unique experience, and build dialogue. A glimpse of the exhibit can be viewed at
