Bulman, Cairns and  Wendt

As part of the lead up to this year’s Art in the Open, on August 23 at 7 pm the Confederation Centre Art Gallery in Charlottetown will host a panel featuring three artists “originally from” PEI, who are participating in this year’s festival. Alexis Bulman, Andrew Cairns, and Sarah Wendt all grew up on Prince Edward Island, but chose to develop their careers further in larger centres such as Halifax, Vancouver and Montreal. Periodically, and sometimes for years at a time, they come home and present their work here, and are never fully separated from their place of birth. Please join them for a discussion of what it means to leave your home for an artistic career, and what happens when you return. The event is free and open to the public.
