Deputy Mayor Mike Duffy sits on the new Gratitude Bench installation with curator Becka Viau. The City of Charlottetown’s Arts Advisory Board approved a new art installation which was installed at the West Royalty Community Centre.

The installation called, The Gratitude Bench, is an interactive piece that serves as a wishing wall where the public can leave inspirational quotes or kind notes on colored paper in the wall. It will include a multipurpose bench for users of the community centre, as well as those who wish to leave notes on the wishing wall. The area is covered with a tree like canopy to create the feeling of sitting amongst the trees.

The Gratitude Bench was installed in late 2017 and is now open to the public. This piece was curated by Becka Viau and drafted and built by Patrick Brunet.
