Sarah Marie Lacy accepted at Studio Escalier
Sarah Marie Lacy has been accepted into Studio Escalier, a classical art studio program in France, with a $1300 scholarship. This 3-month intensive in classical figure drawing and painting is held in a small town south of Paris. It is run by two of the foremost artists in classical realism, Timothy Stotz and N. Michelle Tully. Sarah is now focused on raising the money to pay for this opportunity. She has raised enough for tuition and an extra $185 which she gave to the Creative Spirit Art Centres, which provide studio and gallery space for artists with disabilities in Halifax and Toronto. Sarah was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome when she was 12 years old. Sarah moved to Prince Edward Island 18 months ago from Niagara Falls. She plans to hold a Parisian-themed gala night around Christmas to share paintings, photos and tales from her trip. Her work is represented by Pilar Shephard Art Gallery.
