Curated by Deirdre Kessler

Every one will bloom.

Those that fade will do so painlessly.
They will go gently into memory
and be icons for confused lovers in a future time.
Regret will be a strange devastation
in a foreign land.

Those that endure will be exemplary,
their brilliance undoing any hint of shadow.
Hymns and poetry will be unnecessary.

And finally,
mistakes, miscues, untimely words,
missed opportunities, and speechlessness—
all this and more will disappear like dust
in the wind of my wisdom.

Oh, yes—
Next time round, things will be very different.
