Six-year-old Mara Duncan is a right foot amputee and a member of The War Amps Child Amputee (CHAMP) Program. Along with CHAMP Graduate Matthew Handrahan, born a left arm amputee, she recently accepted a donation cheque from the Kingston Legion on behalf of The War Amps. Donations such as this are used to provide amputees with financial assistance for the cost of artificial limbs and programs that will enhance their lives. The presentation included a meet and greet with CHAMP Graduate Mark Arendz, who recently returned from the 2018 Paralympic Winter Games, having won six medals.
