Sophie MacDonald, Aiden Stewart, Joe Moak, Premier MacLauchlan, Davis Nicholson, Neleah Lavoie, Abby Chapman  Over $15,000 in prizes, provided by 47 community partners, was handed out to young scientists at the 2018 PEI Science Fair held March 21 at UPEI. More than 210 young scientists from 27 Island schools showcased 152 science projects. The winners list is:

Lieutenant Governors Award—Sophie Macdonald, Bluefield Senior High;
Senior Best In Fair—Amahri Young, Bluefield Senior High (1st);

Students from grades 7-12 selected to represent PEI at the Canada-Wide Science Fair (CWSF) in Ottawa in May are Sophie MacDonald, a grade 10 student from Bluefield Senior High; Abby Chapman, a grade 9 from Birchwood Intermediate; Aiden Stewart, a grade 8 student from Queen Charlotte Intermediate; Davis Nicholson and Joe Moak, grade 7 students from Gulf Shore Consolidated.
