The City of Charlottetown is conducting a door-to-door campaign to educate and encourage residents to subscribe free to the Charlottetown Alert System to receive emergency notifications specific to the Capital City.
A City employee, with appropriate identification, has begun a door-to-door campaign to visit residents over the summer and provide information about the system. She will be travelling in a City of Charlottetown vehicle and wearing branded clothing. Residents will have the option to subscribe on the spot.
The Charlottetown Alert System enables the City to provide alerts such as unexpected road closures, severe weather impacts, evacuations of buildings or neighborhoods, and winter parking restriction notices. Visit www.charlottetown.ca and click Alert System under Resident Services or call 902-629-4000, between the hours of 8 am–4 pm, Monday–Friday.
