For Francophone clients, language is often the primary tool in health maintenance and restoration. Communicating in their own language makes it easier for clients to ask for help, explain their experiences and conditions, express their needs and preferences, and take charge of their own health.

The Health Network encourages individuals and organizations to take action and get involved by making their voice heard here on the Island and across the country.

The J’agis, je m’engage campaign aims to attract wide support from individuals, organizations and institutions, and thus improve access to quality French language health services. It is a way of sparking the improvement of services and expressing the importance of obtaining services in French for ourselves, our families and our communities.
