After eight years on the board of directors of Women’s Network PEI, Beti Andric has stepped down as board chair. Beti joined the board in 2010 after having been involved as a volunteer with the organization and became the board chair in 2013.
“Women’s Network PEI is one of those organizations making real change on every level—from improving individual women’s lives through its programming, to influencing positive changes in policy through advocacy and other activities. It is playing a key role in moving the Island society in the direction of eventual gender equality,” said Beti Andric.
At the Network’s 2018 AGM, Judy Herlihy was elected as the new board chair. Judy was serving as the vice-chair and has been with the organization since 2013. As an experienced accountant, she also retains the role as Treasurer. Judy also sits on the board of the PEI Coalition for Women in Government as Treasurer and is a valuable member of the Island feminist community.
For more than 30 years, Women’s Network PEI has dedicated itself to improving the status of women in the community. For more information about the organization and its projects, please visit www.wnpei.org.
