You never know how a day is going to unfold. You think you do, but you don’t.

One morning after a heavy rain we went to the woods to see if a new crop of chanterelles had appeared. Sure enough, dozens of golden Cantharellus cibarius were proudly pushing their way up through the mossy forest floor. All perfectly clean, no slugs lurking underneath. Yay! Snip snip

The child-care subsidy provided by the PEI government is increasing. The private sitter rate is increasing from $20 to $30 a day for infants and $20 to $25 for children two years and older; the before and after-school child care half-day rate is increasing from $10 to $15 and the full day rate is increasing from $20 to $30; and the number of families who will receive full subsidy is increasing
