An Outstanding in the Field event is coming to PEI. On August 26, from 3 pm to dusk, Chef Emily Wells of The Mill in New Glasgow will be cooking a meal in OITF’s pop-up kitchen in the potato fields of Victoria-by-the-Sea.

The event organizers are Jim Denevan, founder of Outstanding in the Field, PEI Chef, Emily Wells, local farmer, Melis Visser and Kathleen & Dennis Terry. When Kathleen and Dennis Terry moved to Prince Edward Island they were impressed by the culinary emphasis and the natural beauty of the Island. They were familiar with Jim Denevan and his Outstanding in the Field culinary tourism events and decided Jim and his team needed to come here.

Outstanding in the Field events, now hosted world-wide, are memorable for the creative local cuisine and remarkable settings. Both come to play on PEI on August 26 on a sloping field overlooking the Northumberland Strait, planted with mustard and potatoes. For information and to order seats go to
