Atlantic String Machine presents a unique performance

Jeffrey, Karen, Louis, Natalie and SeanMembers of Atlantic String Machine are look forward to the audience joining them on the stage of the Homburg Theatre February 24 at 7:30 pm.

In a rare concert opportunity, this intimate chamber performance will reverse the room, inviting the audience to take their seats on the Homburg Theatre stage in Charlottetown, while the string musicians perform on the thrust edge of the main stage. The evening will feature the premiere of a new work by resident composer Sean Kemp, selections from their ECMA-nominated recording Lost Time, and a provocative re-imagining of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons.

“We promise it will be a truly unique concert experience,” says Kemp. “You get to tell your friends you were onstage with the band.”

The Atlantic String Machine has gained a reputation for its eclectic musical style, and this evening will be a celebration of diversity in genre, form, and sound. The Island-based quintet includes all string instruments and was nominated this year for three Music PEI Awards.

Players in Atlantic String Machine are Sean Kemp, violin, Karen Graves, violin, Jeffrey Bazett-Jones, viola, Natalie Williams Calhoun, cello, and Louis Garson, bass.
