The College of Piping and Celtic Performing Arts Centre in Summerside welcomes Jennifer Campbell as its new Executive Director.
Jennifer brings with her a wealth of experience in the music industry, working for several years for the East Coast Music Association and most recently for the last four years serving as the Executive Director of Small Halls Inc., which brings a fourteen day festival of traditional music, dance and storytelling to PEI every summer.
“Combined with her business degree from UPEI, Jennifer’s combination of love and knowledge of music, artist relations experience, financial savvy, and youthful energy and excitement, she will bring a much needed boost to revitalize the College as we prepare to open our brand new 300 seat Performance Arts Centre.”—Joe McGuire, Chairman of the College of Piping Board of Directors.
In addition to the new state of the art centre, the College has developed a world-class reputation as an international school of excellence in Highland bagpiping, Scottish-style drumming, Highland dancing, Island step dancing and fiddling. Their Grade 4B Band come 1st in the 2017 World Pipe Band Championships in Scotland.
Jennifer says that she is looking forward to working with James MacHattie, Director of Education along with the staff in maintaining the standard of excellence of the College of Piping and Celtic Performing Arts of Canada.
