Volunteers sought for The Island Folk Festival

This is how happy you can get by volunteering at Cloggeroo (photo: Philip Matusiewicz)Cloggeroo—the Island Folk Festival is back for its five year anniversary and will be held in the beautiful Eastern PEI town of Georgetown August 10 to 12.

This festival would not be possible without the help of a community of volunteers. Cloggeroo is currently recruiting and scheduling volunteers to get involved with all aspects of the festival, such as artist hospitality, bar, merchandise, camping registration, face painting and more. Giving back to the festival earns volunteers a weekend festival pass, plus a Cloggeroo t-shirt keepsake. For information visit

Cloggeroo welcomes two new food vendors: Tasty Island Meals, a catering company based out of Montague, and a brand new food truck venture, the Holy Fox Food Truck. Both companies will be providing locally sourced meals throughout the entire weekend of the festival.

Acts this year will include Grand Theft Bus, Rose Cousins, MonkeyJunk, The Mellotones, Slowcoaster, Christine Tassan et les Imposteures, Theresa Malenfant and the Instigators, Vishtén, Hot Toddy Trio, Amanda Jackson Band, Calm Baretta, The Hypochondriacs, The Rubber Boot Band, The Koconut Kings, Beach Bait, Chas Guay & Nick Gauthier, Mike Dixon, and Sarah Hagen.

Cloggeroo’s main stage on the Georgetown waterfront is sheltered with a big top festival tent, keeping the music alive rain or shine, while still maintaining the view of the beautiful Brudenell River. The festival features a free concert on the beach, fireworks, full bar, festival camping, children’s activities, free shuttles around town, and more.

Get tickets through the Cloggeroo website. For information about volunteer opportunities, or for information about the festival, visit
