The Indian River Festival, now in its 23rd reason, runs all summer and continues to present concerts in a variety of musical styles in August.
The line-up for August includes The Sweet Lowdown, a folk roots trio from British Columbia (August 3), singer-songwriters Justin Nozuka and Alicia Toner (August 5), the Payadora Tango Ensemble (August 10), the Venuti String Quartet from Toronto (August 12), The Ennis Sisters from Newfoundland touring in support of their new album Keeping Time (August 17), cello and violin group Cheng2 Duo (Chang Squared Duo) presenting Russian Soul (August 19), indie rock group Hillsburn from Halifax (August 24), pianist Peter Tiefenbach performing his composition Cappuccino Cantata (August 26) and Lennie Gallant from PEI releasing his new album Time Travel (August 31).
Ensemble Made in Canada perform their piano quartet project, Mosaïque on September 16.
All Friday evening concerts begin at 7:30 pm and Sunday matinees begin at 3 pm. Doors open one hour prior to concert time and food and beverage is available for purchase in the pavilion, including handpies from the PEI Handpie Company, Samuels coffee, Upstreet Brewing beer, cookies from Crystal Green Farms and Indian River Festival famous strawberry shortcake.
