Our Universe at War web series by Jim McKay

“Our Universe At War,” the 3d animated web series, blasts its way into June. Island based artist, Jim MacKay is its creator and director.

The 8 part sci-fi web series is releasing new episodes weekly on vimeo and youtube. The story begins with a galaxy on the brink of war. Ultimately, the fate of an empire will rest on the choice of one man. In 2012, Jim began production on a new web series. He hopes to finance new seasons of the series through crowd funding and a pay-per-view option. Voice actors for the web series include: Michael Burns, Amy Cox, Gordon Essery, Jo-Anne Ford, Jim MacKay, David Marshall and Rachel Shaw. Sound effects were created at Jim’s foley studio in Beach Point.

Jim MacKay graduated from Humber College in 2003 with a certificate in 3D animation. He followed this up with a certificate in Interactive Multimedia from Holland College in 2006. Jim was employed as a curriculum consultant for the Holland College Video Game Art Program in 2008. He and his wife, Yanzi, reside in Beach Point, PEI.
