Sam Thomson and Ben Rayner (from PEI) have collaborated on a short film called Echoic AM which explores themes of hearing loss, aging, memory and regret, and stars 89 year old Bob Armstrong. It was shot and produced this past May in a wild couple of weeks in preparation for the 2015 My Rode Reel competition which pits 1–3 min films from around the world against each other on an international platform. Ben acted as primary director (and quarterback) taking on a multitude of roles throughout all aspects of the production (co-writing/directing/editing, acting, shooting, for example). Creative professionals from PEI, included the second director of photography, art director, much of the cast, and composer, Ben’s brother Sam Rayner (Colour Code). www.rode.com/myrodereel/watch/entry/1424.
