Food Island Partnership has teamed up with Food Network Canada as a sponsor of the network’s new series Chef in Your Ear. PEI products will be featured in the episode airing October 26 at 10 pm ET/PT on Food Network Canada.

This Food Network Canada partnership is supported by Tourism PEI, Innovation PEI, the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries, the PEI Potato Board, Mussel Industry Council, the PEI Fishermen’s Association, and Certified Island Beef.

Chef in Your Ear is a culinary competition where two Canadian chefs face off to see who can get a completely clueless cook to create the best restaurant quality dish in only one hour. Isolated in a remote booth, each chef watches their cook on a monitor, guiding them step-by-step through an earpiece. The final plates are judged and the winning chef determines the losing chef’s punishment.

The October 26 episode of Chef in Your Ear has PEI culinary expert Chef Michael Smith judge a surf and turf dish made with Island beef, lobster, mussels, and potatoes. www.foodnetwork.ca/shows/chef-in-your-ear/
