Just Passing Through and Upstreet collaborate
Just Passing Through and Upstreet Craft Brewing have combined forces to release a collaboration beer to help celebrate the success of the show’s second season. The twelve episodes have been watched over 340,000 times since the release of season 2 on January 31 and now the show’s creators are looking to provide fans with a new way to connect with the characters.
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Upstreet on the Top Stamp lager. We love their beer and this is a unique opportunity for us to expose the show to a wider audience, while partnering with a great local business.” says show creator, Robbie Moses.
Top Stamp: Honey Brown Lager features the show’s main characters on the label and will be bottled and sold in liquor stores across the Island.
The new brewery hopes to create a product that followers of the show will appreciate, according to company’s CEO, Mitch Cobb, “We’ve all been huge fans since day one and have put a lot of thought into what kind of beer would fit with the theme. We’re excited for the opportunity to work with the show’s creators and we think we’ve come up with something that’s really fun and delicious.”
Just Passing Through is an Island-made comedy series about the adventures of Terry and Parnell Gallant, two rough-and-tumble Islanders looking to get “loaded rich” in Alberta. The series has received critical acclaim and has reached a global audience. John Doyle of The Globe and Mail called it “more original and funnier than most Canadian network comedies of the last decade.”
