The City of Charlottetown is working on a Community Energy Plan and gathering feedback from the public on how they can improve energy efficiency, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and continue to shift toward a more sustainable future. The youth of the Charlottetown are the future, so they want to hear from you.

Create a short video showcasing your idea(s) for how Charlottetown can become a more energy efficient community. Get inspiration from how other cities in Canada and across the globe are tackling this issue, or from your own innovative minds.

Your video can be on one or a combination of any of the following themes: Energy Efficiency, Sustainable Transportation, Community Energy Solutions (urban planning, sustainable development, energy storage, etc), Renewable Energy. You can enter as an individual of group in one of the following categories: Youth Age 6–18; Young Adult Age 19–23.

Grand Prizes are: 1st Prize Tablet (or $ equiv); 2nd Prize Bluetooth Speaker (solar powered) (or $ equiv); People’s Choice Prize Device charging dock (solar powered). Visit www.Charlottetown.ca to review the rules and regulations.

Prepare a short video (3 min or less) incorporating the theme(s) above. Submit your video and forms online or drop off directly at City Hall (required forms must be submitted with video for entry to qualify).
