Postcard Photo Sharing

PEI Museum and Heritage Foundation has transformed an old medium, the picture postcard, into a new format: the online photo-sharing program, Flickr. Over 500 historic postcard images from the Provincial Collection spanning communities across PEI can be viewed. Many of the postcards date from the early 1900s and continue as late as the ’70s and ’80s.

On October 24, Patrick Holden spoke to a packed house at the Sir Andrew Macphail Homestead on the topic of “Sustainable Food Systems for the 21st Century: The Challenge for Prince Edward Island.” Holden is the founder of The Sustainable Food Trust, based in the United Kingdom.
