The GuildTwenty years ago what we now know as The Guild, was the Royal Bank Building. In 1994 the PEI Council of the Arts acquired the building with the intent of turning it into a center for arts and culture; The Arts Guild was created. In 2004 it was reincorporated into The Guild, a non-profit arts centre as we now know it. With comedy, theatre, music, visual art, film screenings and community forums taking place regularly, The Guild is fulfilling its mandate to “provide members of the cultural and arts community a vibrant, supportive, subsidized, creative space in which to develop and flourish.” Alanna Jankov is the current Executive Director of The Guild.
