Treble with Girls presents For the Love of the Island: Chapter 2The Kings Playhouse theatre in Georgetown will present new and returning summer productions, as well as some new infrastructure and new faces.

The Complete Works of William Shakespeare(Abridged) is a three-person performance that combines all 37 plays in 97 minutes in an irreverent, romp through the Bard's plays.

The Four Tellers—Island storytellers David Weale, Alan Buchanan, Gary Evans and Dennis King—bring their show back to the theatre for a final run. This year’s theme is “The Last Laugh.”

For the Love of the Island: Chapter 2 returns for a second season, bringing life to traditional and original songs and the stories behind them with Island musical group Treble with Girls—Jolee Patkai, Maxine MacLennan, Sheila MacKenzie and Norman Stewart.

Haunted Georgetown, back by popular demand, takes you on a spooky walk through the haunted theatre and into the historic streets of Georgetown.

The Kings Playhouse has also announced major upgrades to the theatre that include new stage curtains and sound-dampening panels in the hall. Two new staff members have joined the team at the Playhouse. Catherine O’Brien, interim executive director, brings with her years of experience in professional theatre. This year marketing and communications will be looked after by Julia Cook, who is hired through the Theatre Mentorship Program.
