Patrick Ledwell and Mark Haines return with all new show at Harmony House

(photo: Pam Bernard)This summer, The Island Summer Review is returning to Harmony House with an all-new show. Heading into its sixth season, the review has become an annual summer tradition, and a “must-do” night to welcome friends and family back home.

Comedian Patrick Ledwell and musician Mark Haines are creating a fresh storytelling set, with up-to-the-minute comedy, traditional music, and everything Prince Edward Island in between.

For this upcoming season, the show will take a look at the connection between the Island and its Atlantic Canadian neighbours. “There’s nothing Islanders like better than hopping over to Moncton, or attempting to drive in Halifax,” says show co-performer Patrick Ledwell. “This year’s show will have fun seeing the East Coast through a PEI perspective, and finding the strings that pull us closely together.”

And this summer, there’s a new way to see the new show. Harmony House Theatre is partnering with Target Tours Atlantic to offer the Island Summer Review Tour. Target Tours Atlantic will pick up your group at Charlottetown locations, with their certified driver and vehicles, and provide you with transportation to and from Hunter River.

“We still think Harmony House is a bit of a hidden gem, and this tour will provide visitors and Islanders alike with a new way to discover us,” says theatre co-owner Melanie Taylor.

Tour options will be available to accommodate different sizes of group, whether two or fourteen people.

“We’re really excited about this tour,” remarks Jacqueline Skinner, Operations Manager for Target Tours Atlantic. “We love what they’re doing at Harmony House. This is a great way to open that incredible experience to more visitors, especially when they may not already have that Island connection.”

To find out more or to book your Island Summer Review Tour, visit Target Tours Atlantic at www.targettoursatlantic.com.

The Island Summer Review opens Thursday, July 5. The show runs each Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday night at 8 pm until August 31. For ticket details, visit Harmony House Theatre at www.harmonyhousetheatre.com or call 1-888-311-9090.
