The Satan Show

Ever wonder about Satan’s take on the Eve and the apple story? Or what Hell is really like? Susan, played by Laura Chapin, has. During The Satan Show, she conjurors The Prince of Darkness, played by Nicholas Whalen, to hear what he has to say for himself, and to exorcise a few personal demons in the process. The Satan Show was written by Chapin and Dave Stewart. Nicholas Whalen is known to Islanders from his Eastlink TV series Pet Peeves, web series Meet Me Here, and drag persona Whatshername. 

Half A Star

Coming this year to the Island Fringe Festival is new piece created by Island-born and raised theatre artists Benton Hartley and Justin Shaw. The Fantastic Space theatre company will present this production of Half A Star.

Five years after a terrible review destroyed their partnership, two former best friends reunite for one more performance. Will they be able to overcome their mutual contempt, or will their reunion be the final demise of their reputations and their friendship?

This piece of theatre is performed by real-life best friends and theatre partners Benton Hartley and Justin Shaw. 

Benton Hartley and Justin ShawThe Satan Show and Half A Star are two of five PEI shows chosen by lottery for The Island Fringe Festival. They join two other Canadian shows and three international shows, with one performance of each show taking place each day. Venues are TBA, but can be found at when announced.
