The King of Rock meets the Queens of Country at Harbourfront

Thane Dunn in a recent Elvis showThane Dunn and his Cadillac Kings are returning to the Harbourfront Theatre in Summerside August 18 with a brand new show that they promise fans of Elvis and country music are going to love.

Dunn’s new Elvis Rock and Country features not only Elvis’ iconic rock songs, from “Blue Suede Shoes” to “Suspicious Minds,” but also several of Presley’s country hits like “Always on My Mind,” and “Kentucky Rain.”

Special opening act, “The Rhinestone Cowgirl” will kick off the night with her salute to the “Queens of Country Music:” Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette and Patsy Cline. Wearing replica costumes of a time long gone bye, the Rhinestone Cowgirl will take you back to those special days of classic country.

Thane Dunn has been called the “full Elvis package,” delivering not only the look, voice, moves, and mannerisms of the king himself, but also that magnetic personality and off the wall boyish charm exuded by Presley that makes you a believer. Dunn’s show is endorsed by several people who actually worked and performed with Presley in the 70s and Dunn will be wearing an exact replica of Elvis’ favorite stage suit called the “Embroidered Peacock.” No expense has been spared to deliver Las Vegas quality entertainment directly to you.

“Things have been very busy since our last show. We’ve been performing with Bill Baize of Elvis’ original Stamps Quartet, and he’s even my vocal coach,” said Dunn. “We are doing this show because not only do I love Elvis but I have always loved classic country—a genre that sadly, rarely gets radio play anymore. People want to hear it. All our previous shows have been a hit, but I expect this one is going to take the roof off.”
