Family show comes to Georgetown and Summerside
Family-friendly theatrical company, DuffleBag Theatre, comes to the Island for two shows this December 30 performing at Harbourfront Theatre and King’s Playhouse.
Since 1992, the self-proclaimed “nearly world-famous” theatre troupe has traveled the globe with their original adaptations of fairy tales and classic stories. Their trademark wit, humour, and interactive storytelling is tailored for young audiences.
They are set to perform twice on December 30—first at Harbourfront Theatre in Summerside at 2 pm with their adaptation of Snow White, and then at 6:30 pm at the historic Kings Playhouse in Georgetown for their retelling of Beauty & the Beast.
Known for entertaining audiences young and old, DuffleBag Theatre uses audience interaction in each performance they present. Every show, they invite willing audience members to join them onstage as the stars of the show.
Says Kieran Keller, Harbourfront Theatre’s executive director, “We’re thrilled to welcome them for the first time to Harbourfront.”
“DuffleBag Theatre’s Beauty & the Beast and Snow White are must-sees for families this holiday season,” says Catherine O’Brien of Kings Playhouse.
