Hot Shows on Cold Nights at the Kings Playhouse

Alan Buchanan“Spark! Hot Shows on Cold Nights” continues into March at the Kings Playhouse in Georgetown, with events and performances on stage and in Dedication Hall.

March 8 at 7 pm Alan Buchanan of the Four Tellers will host for a trivia night fundraiser—Fun Facts and Urban Myths. Hot snacks will be available for purchase and there will be a cash bar.

March 23 is the popular paint party—Art With Amy. Come for an evening of painting (no experience necessary). All ages are welcome.

The Playhouse will offer a dance performance on stage on March 30, as well as a workshop for Island dance students. Nostos Collectives Dance Association is a professional contemporary dance troupe featuring dancers from Halifax and Toronto. They will conduct a workshop at 3 pm the theatre, open to dance students who are studying contemporary dance, or have other dance training and are interested in contemporary dance.

That evening a dance performance will be presented at 7:30 pm, beginning with pieces by Dance Umbrella, Holland College School of Performing Arts, and guests. Then Nostos will present Sonderlings— trio full of eccentric, fateful and repetitive movements complimenting a dark cautionary tale from the 1700s, “ The Man of Double Deed.”
