Victoria Playhouse: Meet the cast
Martha Irving returns to perform in two productions

The Victoria Playhouse has announced that Martha Irving is returning to perform in two productions this summer, The Birds and The Bees by Mark Crawford and On A First Name Basis by Norm Foster.

A popular actor and director hailing from York Point, Martha has performed across Canada and received numerous awards for her outstanding work in theatre.

Island Dance Academy student performance

The Island Dance Academy, under the direction of Martha Nicholson, will present its annual performance on May 7. “Oh! Canada!” will showcase students, ages 3 and up, transforming all things Canadian, into dance. Performances in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz and Broadway will be presented by the students. Performances will be at 2:30 pm and 7 pm at the Homburg Theatre, Confederation Centre.

Workshops open for participants in summer event

The River Clyde Pageant returns to the riverbanks of New Glasgow with performances on July 29 to 30 and August 4 to 6. The Pageant, called Wake the River Clyde, will feature new stories, and new and returning characters including blue herons on stilts, trolls, mermaids, and talking fish.
