Confederation Centre of the Arts has announced that the 2018 Symons Medal will be awarded to historian and author Professor Margaret MacMillan. The PEI Writers’ Guild (PEIWG) has elected its 2018–2019 Board of Directors.

President Keith Burgoyne stepped down and is taking on the role of Past President. Local author and entrepreneur Mo Duffy Cobb was elected as the new President.
