The story
Growing up in her beloved P.E.I. Glenda Landry dreamed of becoming an actress and performing at the Confederation Centre of the Arts. But she also dreamed of one day becoming a chef. Both of those dreams have been realized and in Glenda’s Kitchen, now in its second season at the Charlottetown Festival, she has been provided with a palate pleasing platform to share her love of both the theatre and the culinary arts.

The performances
While demonstrating with great gusto and panache the art of making the perfect P.E.I. seafood chowder Landry and castmates Hank Stinson, Julain Molnar, Marlane O’Brien and Cameron MacDuffee celebrate in story and song all that is good about living in P.E.I. The people, the places and the traditions of this beautiful Island come alive here. And to cap off a delightful afternoon there’s a wonderful bowl of chowder and a biscuit.

Best thing
Having each member of this talented cast reveal what it is about P.E.I. that makes it a special place for them and, in the process, for us as well.
