3rd Annual QEH Fundraising Concert Series

Jon Matthews is one of the featured concert guests in NovemberFor the third year, Cardigan Feed Services and Cardigan Bearing Steel will present the QEH Winter Fundraising Concert Series hosted by Treble with Girls at the Our Lady of the Assumption Parish Hall in Stratford. This season’s series offers nine shows on Sunday afternoons at 2 pm until April 8.

Each show will feature new music from hosts Treble with Girls along with a special musical guest, a 50/50 draw, door prizes and a homemade lunch.

Upcoming shows include storyteller Dennis King (January 28), singer Taylor Johnston (February 11), Peggy Clinton and Johnny Ross (February 25) and a St. Patrick’s Day celebration with Irish singer, storyteller and flute player Cian O’Morain along with Mary MacGillivray. The finale kitchen party show will take place on April 8. 

The Our Lady of the Assumption Parish Hall is located at 145 Stratford Road, the big blue church in Stratford.

The 2017 Christmas Stars 8th Annual Concert for the QEH will be held November 19, starting at 6 pm, at Jack Blanchard Centre, located on 7 Pond St., Charlottetown.

The concert is hosted by Judy MacLean and guest host Bill Acorn. Performing are Phase II—Gerry Hickey, Blaine Murphy, Pat King, John McGarry, Ed Young—with harmonies by  Keila Glydon and Jeanie Campbell. Opening act is Stratford Community Choir directed by Kay Linkletter. Also on the bill is PEI’s Country Gentleman Lester MacPherson; recording artist Jimi Platts; singer-songwriter Emmett DeCourcey; plus The Judy MacLean Dancers—Island Champion stepdancer (fiddler) Vanessa Bernard with The Bernard Family; the Montigny Sisters, 2017 Maritime Champion fiddler-stepdancer Amelia Parker, and the Island’s award winning stepdancing duo Danielle and Isabelle Saunders.
