Knitting for Mission

The Anglican Parish of Summerside will be holding their Knitting for Mission 'knit-ins' throughout the Winter and Spring. The group meets on the first and third Wednesdays of the month from 1–3 pm. Leadership course

Holland College is providing a leadership training program for not-for-profit organizations.

The first offering will start with in-class sessions on February 22 and 23 at the Bedeque Rural Action Centre. Volunteers are needed at a free tax clinic to complete tax returns for eligible people in your community who have a modest income and a simple tax situation. Some experience doing tax returns is helpful, but you will be given web-based or in-person training about volunteer responsibilities, taxes, and how to use the tax software. Alzheimer caregiver support

Alzheimer caregiver support groups are held in 3 locations across PEI. All are welcome to attend.

The Charlottetown group meets at Alzheimer Society of PEI, 166 Fitzroy Street, on the first and third Wednesdays of every month at 1 pm.

The Summerside group meets at Summerset Manor, 15 Frank Mellish Street, on the third Thursday of every month at 2 pm.

The Montague group meets at Perrin’s Marina

Grief Support Drop-in Group

A Grief Support Drop-in Group meets the third Thursday of each month from 7–8 pm at Provincial Palliative Care Centre, 93 Murchison Lane, Charlottetown. This on-going facilitated grief and grieving support group is for all Islanders—family, extended family, friends—who have experienced loss. Montague mental health clinic

A new mental health walk-in clinic in Montague at the Community Mental Health Office (126 Douses Rd) is open Thursdays from 4–8 pm to help Islanders dealing with anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues., 1-800-218-2885.

TTIS Critique Sessions

Practicing artists in any medium are welcome to attend TTIS Critique Sessions. Organizers ask that you become a member of TTIS in order to participate—you can do this in cash or cheque at the event itself.
